This open-level ballet class is truly open to all levels. No prior ballet training is required. Class will be taught to the least experienced participant. For those with more experience, additional layers of complexity—through movement options, concepts, and phrasing—will be offered. Dance class is first and foremost a social environment—we are sharing space, attention, and responsibility together. My goal is to create a learning space that feels safer, welcoming, and responsive, regardless of movement background. Questions and conversation are encouraged and supported throughout class. Class structure may include familiar ballet elements such as barre (supported exercises to warm up and build coordination), center work (movement without support), and traveling phrases across the floor. Ballet vocabulary will be introduced in accessible ways, with demonstrations and alternatives offered so dancers can focus on sensation, coordination, and expression rather than memorization. My teaching is informed by classical ballet tradition while intentionally journeying away from rigid hierarchies and fixed outcomes. Each class is shaped by curiosity and adaptability, allowing the people in the room to influence where the class goes that day.
